Dyscalculia
Solutions for People Experiencing Learning Difficulties
What is Dyscalculia?
Dyscalculia is a learning disorder that affects a person’s ability to understand and perform arithmetic operations. People with dyscalculia may have difficulty understanding and using math concepts, such as those related to quantity, place value, and time. They may also struggle with basic maths skills, such as counting, estimating, and solving problems. Dyscalculia can affect people of all ages and can range from mild to severe. It is often accompanied by other learning disorders, such as dyslexia or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Dyscalculia is not a measure of intelligence and can be managed with the help of appropriate accommodations and interventions.
